Amsterdam
The city of Amsterdam wants ‘a cleaner Amsterdam and a healthier future for the people of Amsterdam’, so Amsterdam decided to invest in a hydrogen garbage truck from E-Trucks Europe.
This hydrogen garbage truck, which was presented on 15 March 2018 by Alderman Choho on the Dam, is now fully electric but is already prepared to be expanded to a hydrogen hybrid garbage truck in 2019. An important step towards the goal of the municipality of Amsterdam to reduce its CO₂-emissions by 45% by 2025. In the meantime, the first truck with hydrogen drive is already operational and because they have been well received, the city of Amsterdam plans to purchase even more vehicles.
