Hintzen Logistik expands vehicle fleet with electrical driven refrigerator vehicle

Hintzen Logistik expanded her modern vehicle fleet with a 22 ton truck equipped with a full electrical driveline. With this investment Hintzen hopes to contribute to the environmentally friendly distribution of goods within the city area of Aachen (Nordrhein-Westfalen), quietly en with zero emission.

E-Trucks Europe developed this special E-Truck in a joint venture with Cross Border Cluster Stimulation (GCS), the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and Interreg. The truck will be used for the transportation of refrigerated products. Besides the truck itself, the cooling system also generates its energy from the battery pack. At night the truck is ‘plugged in’ to obtain the necessary electricity. Mayor Rudi Bertram of Eschweiler performed the official acts.
